We went to Grama Freitas's for a big turkey lunch. It was great, but as usual I ate too much. We took the opportunity to take some new photos of the crew. Heres a couple of the "Freitas" clan at Easter!

We adopted Elli Sept 6th 2008. She was born July 27th/2008. She had 2 fawn sisters and 1 black brother. Her bio-mom was black and Dad - fawn. She was so tiny, but didnt stay that way long she grew very fast in the begining. What a clown she is, we all love her...

It suppose to be +16 on wednesday, so the weatherman says, im to the point i'll belive it when I see it. However 16 degrees would sure melt alot of our snow! The kids are off to spend some of their spring break at their Grama Freitas's house for spring break. Rob will take them tonight before he goes into work, and they'll come home Thursday morning. The kids cant wait, and we could use a little break as well.

Were all still alive :) Just busy with the happenings of everyday life, and hockey. But now that hockey season is over there is MUCH more time to do some other things, YEAH! Brittany is off at a babysitting corse at the colledge today, man where did the time go. Kayla is sick the last of us be thrown onto the "sick wagon" its been a couple months since we've all been "healthy". Im sure alot of you are with us on that, I know its really going around. Kyler, well hes just being typical Kyler, always busy doing one of his latest obsessions. Robs been off work all week, the economy finally got to west fraser, and has a manditory week shut down, then once UI and the union come to an agreement, they'll be on 3 day work weeks. So things have been a little stressfull here. But he's keeping busy, he hates to be bored, hes in the process of building a bedroom in the basement, Brittany is praying with all her might that it will be hers, and also closing off the watertanks and softner, and make a acutal "TV" room for the kids down their, with carpet and everything :) Ive been working a fair bit, and doing all the house and "mom" things. Brittany got braces a couple months ago, so were making trips for ortho into the city every 6ish weeks. Did I say we NEED to win the lottery?!?! Braces are NOT cheap, even with both of our dental coverage we still have a huge bill. And for the best news of all, ITS SUNNY outside and the snow is MELTING!!! I am SOOOO tired of winter, and cold, and snow... ick!

Ok Jen, I know its been awhile, now dont bug me for awhile ;) As you all know I started working more "full time" earlier than expected for my friend who went on Maternity leave. So thats been keeping me busy. Instead of 35-40 hrs every two weeks, im working no less than 60+ hrs every two wks. I just got back from a fishing trip to the ocean with my Dad, Sister and nephew yesterday. We were gone 6 days, and we had a really good time. Had some problems with the weather that cut out quite a bit of our "fishing" time, but we lived to see another day, and enjoyed the time we did have fishing. Yesterday also marked 12 yrs of marriage for Rob and I. :) Were planning on maybe having a special dinner or something this coming weekend, I have only seen Rob for about 2 hrs in 2 weeks. Between his bike trip and my ocean trip, plus working - Robs on graveyards and stays up with the kids during the day, then I come home and he goes to bed.... we dont get much time together. But once school is in things will go back to more of a "normal" for us. The kids are growing up DAILY, time really does need to slow down a bit. Before I know it they'll be married and gone :( Well off to make some dinnner. Homemade fish and chips with fresh Halibut from the ocean :)

I've waited so long for this camera, I just love it. Brittany wasnt home much this weekend, so I dont have a really good one of her, but I have one of Kyler and Kayla eating watermelon on the deck yesterday. Kaylas picture I used a neat feature of the camera where you can select one color you want to show up, and the rest is black and white. Here are two my "beauties" :) And I cant forget the "BUG", LOL, here she is in super close up!

We had a great time today. After we got back from MIL's for lunch, it was hot outside so Rob and I filled a ton of balloons with water, brought out the squirt guns, and the kids and us had a huge water fight. Of corse I never got one single picture. Kinda hard to do with water flying everywhere, LOL. Speaking of pictures I got my new camera!! I got a Canon 870SD. Its awsome, great pictures and cool features. ahhhh, I love summer :)

I made an appoitment today to have patches put to rest, on Wednesday May 28th. His weight is dwindling away, hes loosing control of his bodily functions, puking all the time, and such horrible labored breathing constantly. I had warned the kids this was coming and today after school told them the news, explained what would happen. Kayla and Kyler want to be there, Brittany is still thinking about it. We have left the decision up to them completely. Im sure Patchie will be getting alot of cuddles in the next two days. :(

Sad news about our beloved Patches...

Patches has Lung Cancer. He has been sick for quite some time, and after vet visits and alot of tests, its the only conclusion we can come up with. Its seems hes getting worse quicker and the poor guy is trying so hard to be so happy. We got patches from a pet store when he was only about 8 wks old. He will be 7 years old this November. Here is a recent picture of our little buddy.

Well I thaught I had made it clear of the flu while all around me in the house had a bout of it in some form or another, but not me, couldnt get that lucky. I spent 2 hrs awake and in the bathroom the other night - MIDDLE of the night, and wouldnt you know it, I hadnt gotten to cleaning that bathroom in awhile, YUCK! It was one of those horrible situations where you had the bucket and the toilet and you couldnt decide which you were going to use for what. Yesterday I had a "funny" tummy all day, this morning so far im feeling pretty good so far. Lets hope thats the end of that!!!

We had a great weekend. Yesterday we all (except Brittany, she hurt her ankle) went garbage collecting to fundraise for the towns new mountain bike park. When we were finished, we all cleaned up and I spent a couple hrs laying on a blanket on the front deck reading the rest of my novel, in the sunshine, watching the kids play outside. Ahhhh, I needed that. Today looked really promising early this morning, and although it was quite warm today, the sun never came out fully. We spent today doing the usual weekend housecleaning and laundry chores. And even though Laundy is NOT my most favorite thing to do, I love to just putter around the house. Well off I go to have a little cuddle with hubby :)

Between the cool temperatures and that darn wind, its just been miserable. The last couple days have finally been alot nicer. Today after work I planted my spring bulbs, and then road my exercise bike before the kids came home from school. After supper the kids, Rosie and I walked down to the park for awhile. Its nice to be able to get out of the house and do some things.... Bring on Spring :)

Nothing better to do on a COOOOLD spring day than start a blog :) Robs sick, on his second cup of NeoCitran, laying on the recliner with Rosie. Kids are doing something downstairs to music that is much too loud. But they're not in here bothering me.... yet anyways.
